What is a fine art Giclée Print?

Giclée is derived from the French verb 'gicler', which means 'to squirt or to spray.  Giclée is used to describe the process of digital printing, using pigment based inks, finely sprayed onto high quality archival paper.

Firstly, the original painting is scanned to create a high definition, digital image.  The digital image is colour corrected to ensure it's the closest possible match to the original work.  The Giclée method ensures quality and longevity.

All our limited editions are fine art Giclée prints, produced by Saltmarshe, printers and publishers of contemporary art and photography.
